What is a B Corporation

The B System is a global movement that identifies companies that are committed to doing good. These corporations use their market power to solve social and environmental problems.

Certified companies assume a commitment to continuous improvement, placing purpose at the center of their business. They are dedicated to generating positive impact on society, going beyond mitigating negative effects. B Corporations seek to be better for the world, not just the best in the world.

What is the importance?

The B System is important because it promotes a new economic logic where companies not only seek profit, but also commit to social and environmental well-being. By joining the B System, companies commit to high standards of transparency and accountability, contributing to a more just and sustainable economy. This inspires other companies to adopt more ethical and responsible practices, creating a positive chain effect.

B Certification observes the company’s overall social and environmental impact, beyond the product or service. To obtain Certification, the company goes through the B Impact Assessment, an evaluation of the company’s positive impact, and a risk review, an assessment of negative impact; changes in corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders; and have transparency, allowing information about its performance to be public and available on the company’s profile on the B Lab website.

XCOM by Atrevia is a B Corporation because it is dedicated to promoting a more plural, tolerant world that is open to diversity. We believe this is one of the main paths to achieving a more just and collaborative society. We want our team to increasingly reflect this commitment, which is why we support internal and external initiatives aimed at strengthening and defending its importance and relevance. We obtained a score of 82.5 out of 100, and this is just the initial kickoff for the development of these fronts in which we wish to go much further.

What we are doing

In Brazil, only 329 organizations have this certification, and in the communication sector, there are only 15 certified companies. We seek to be sustainable in all aspects, from choosing our clients, partners and suppliers to the way we provide our services. Among our values and principles are transparency, ethics and respect for rules and laws. Working for a more plural, tolerant world that is open to diversity is one of the main paths to achieving a more just and collaborative society. Additionally, we serve companies and institutions committed to the highest sustainability standards required by society and encourage our employees to respect and cultivate these values in their daily lives.

What we are doing

Achieving B Corp certification was a challenging but rewarding process. This journey motivated us to review and improve our practices in all areas of the business. We believe this certification will make us an even stronger, more resilient and innovative company, reinforcing our commitment to quality. By achieving this certification, XCOM joins a select group of companies that demonstrate their commitment to a more sustainable and equitable future. With B Corp certification, XCOM joins a global movement of companies building a more sustainable future, balancing profit with positive social and environmental impact. We want to inspire companies that wish to make a difference in the world. We hope our example will encourage other companies to commit to social and environmental responsibility.
